U.S. Embassy provides the JNRC with Detection Equipment

The Embassy’s Economic Counselor, Natalie E. Brown (center) presents Director General of the Jordan Nuclear Regulatory Commission Dr. Jamal Sharaf (left) a donation of 75 state-of-the-art radiation detection equipment provided through the State Department’s Export Control & Border Security (EXBS) program. The devices will be used at ports of entry to detect and deter illicit smuggling of weapons of mass destruction as well as nuclear and radioactive materials.
