For diplomats of foreign missions posted to Amman: if you are a diplomatic passport holder serving at a foreign mission in Amman and traveling for personal (non-official) business or pleasure, please email to responseamman@state.gov to request an interview appointment. No visa fee is required for holders of diplomatic passports, however please click here for other requirements.
For officials of the Government of Jordan or any Embassy traveling on official business, please contact the protocol section of the MFA or your embassy management section for information about how to apply. No personal appearance or visa fee is required. For further questions, please email responseamman@state.gov.
Please note that nonimmigrant visas are issued according to the purpose of travel. Government, diplomatic or military officials traveling for tourism or for purposes that are inherently non-official in scope, are generally not eligible for official or diplomatic visas, even when such travel is funded by government agencies
