Subject: Warden Message – H1N1 Flu Update
This Warden Message alerts U.S. citizens to the latest information regarding human cases of 2009-H1N1 Influenza, sometimes referred to as swine flu or novel H1N1. As of close of business, June 17, the Government of Jordan is reporting nine cases of H1N1 virus in country. Local authorities have advised that testing is available at all hospitals in Jordan. Suspected H1N1 cases will be transferred to a designated hospital for treatment and quarantine. The Ministry of Health has established a hot line for inquiries: 079-9036023.
Any questions or concerns about influenza or other illnesses should be directed to a medical professional. Although the Embassy cannot provide medical advice or medical services to the public, a list of doctors can be found on our website at jordan.usembassy.gov.
